The CX220C excavator has an operating weight of 22 tons and is equipped with an FPT six-cylinder fuel-efficient electronically controlled engine. It develops a gross power of 117 kW (157 hp) and peak torque of 622 Nm at 1,800 rpm. The new generation FPT engine is developed by Case’s sister brand FPT Industrial. Additionally, the excavator comes with five energy saving controls and ECO.

The machine is highly suitable for stone quarry, road works, general construction and earthwork. The gauge function ensures the continuous monitoring of the fuel consumption which helps attaining up to 4 per cent better fuel efficiency due to hydraulic system control and 6 per cent better efficiency from FPT engine. Five energy saving controls are present in the excavator which helps in constant consumption monitoring with an ECO gauge function.

Robust design with increased plate thickness on structures and attachments improves the durability of the excavator. The boom and arm feature heavy-duty brackets and reduced tolerances which increase component life thus minimise downtime. The lower cost of ownership also comes with longer service intervals, reduced downtimes. Case India’s excavator offers an easy maintenance from ground level for user comfort.

The CX220C excavator is a perfect machine for every application. It comes with three available power modes and 10 auxiliary hydraulic settings. It offers an arm length of 1.9 m, 2.4 m and 2.9 m and 5.4 m boom length to cater to customer needs. Its 152 kN bucket and 132 kN arm digging force ensure higher productivity. Its 6.59 m dumping height ensures safe loading in a high body dumper. The CX220C excavator comes with a maximum travel speed of 5.6 km/hr and a swing speed of 11.5 rpm. The range of bucket sizes available are (0.9, 1.0, 1.1 cu m) as per material density, application and customer requirements.

The CX220C excavator is equipped with Case India’s telematics system which provides real time updates. The spacious HVAC cabin comes with ample legroom for a secure and comfortable working environment. Case India has also included an ergonomically designed mechanical seat with eight different adjustments which enhances operator comfort and hence productivity. Vibration dampening protects against whole body fatigue, thus ensures all day productivity. The cabin also has features like Auto Climate Control function and air-conditioning system with 25 per cent more airflow with eight vents for better efficiency during harsh summer and openable roof window to give better visibility on top. The cabin has an integrated 7-inch LCD monitor for real time parameter monitoring. An onboard diagnosing system is added to the machine that gives a full measure or status of the machine with notifications on issues or need for repair.
