Doosan Bobcat Launches a New Portable Light Tower for the Middle East and African Markets

The Portable Power business of Doosan Bobcat has launched the new LVL 50 Hz portable light tower for markets in the Middle East and Africa. Designed for reliability and durability, the LVL light tower – also available as a 60 Hz model – is ideal for the rental market. The LVL light tower has a compact footprint for increased job site mobility and cost-effective transport.

Applications include lighting for special events, road and bridge construction sites, and all general construction applications, as well as providing lighting for emergency and disaster relief, oil and gas drilling, and for mining and quarrying locations.

The new LVL 50 Hz light tower has a power train based around the Yanmar L48N5 Tier 2 diesel engine. Thanks to a high output alternator, the LVL Light Tower provides light and power with class-leading run-time. The fuel tank capacity allows an extended runtime for the four LED lights of 220 hours (200 hours for the 60 Hz version).

The clamshell-style canopy lifts easily for quick access to service points, ensuring routine maintenance is quick and easy to perform without having to take the machine apart.

The mast on the light tower can be raised to a height of 7 m (23 feet). The mast is raised by dual, hand-operated winches and features an automatic safety brake.

As well as light towers for the construction, rental, quarrying, and many other industries, the Portable Power range from Doosan Bobcat includes comprehensive ranges of state-of-the-art portable compressors and generators aimed at the same markets.
