Fabio Garavelli Appointed as New Sales Manager for Fendt Southern Europe

AGCO/Fendt has just recently announced that Fabio Garavelli, currently holding the position of Central Retail Manager for Fendt Southern Europe, will be appointed Sales Manager Southern Europe as of October 4, 2021.

Taking over the role of FENDT Sales Manager Southern Europe means that Fabio Garavelli will supervise all strategic and operative sales and MKTG operations related to the region (Italy, Spain and Portugal).

Fabio Garavelli (39), who grew up in close contact with the agricultural world thanks to his farming background and has a bachelor in agribusiness, has gained much experience in the agricultural mechanization industry. During the past 12 years he has held various roles in the AG industry in Italy and Germany, such as sales management, strategic marketing and dealer development with AGCO and other manufacturers.

He joined AGCO/Fendt in December 2019 and in his role as Central Retail Manager he was responsible for all the marketing activities such as communication, trainings, implementation of sales programs and development of digital tools.

This change of role is part of a broader farmer-first strategy that AGCO is implementing with the goal of maximizing value creation for its key stakeholders and that is based on the concept that farmers are the center of everything.

Fabio will operate with his team with the aim of deeply understanding the customers’ needs and expanding the business in the Southern European region.

In his new position, Fabio will replace Marco Mazzaferri.

Marco spent the first part of his career at AGCO developing the Fendt Brand in Italy after the relocation to Breganze. Under his responsibility Fendt successfully introduced the Fendt Full-Line strategy in Italy and reached record volumes and market shares for 5 years in a row and, finally, meeting the ambitious goals of Fendt 2020 strategy. In 2020 he took also the leadership of the Southern European Cluster reaching also in Spain and Portugal record market share.

Marco, who has been working for AGCO/Fendt for six years, will make a step further in his career at AGCO and it will be subject of further communication.
