This year’s bauma, Yanmar will launch its electrification strategy for off-road vehicles and OEM equipment. The electrification strategy will be highlighted at a launch event for press and other interested parties.

Yanmar and OEMs go electric together

To ensure a sustainable future for all, Yanmar, too, is on its way to transform to new-energy sources with new products and alternative fuel technologies in all business areas, including the construction and building industry. As a long-standing OEM partner in this field, we will work together with OEMs to successfully transform the heart of their construction machinery – the engine – to electric powertrains.

All-in-one systems integrator for electrification

Togetherness is no empty promise, as Yanmar will act as the all-in-one systems integrator for smart electrified power solutions tailored to the application-specific needs of individual OEMs. This means for OEMs that they can outsource most of all electrification work to Yanmar, who takes care of all system, control and maintenance issues for the e-powertrain.

High-performance battery production in house

An important milestone for realizing the urgent environmental challenges that we must overcome is Yanmar’s acquisition of battery-technology company ELEO, a fast-growing developer and manufacturer of high-performance modular battery systems. This acquisition will further enhance Yanmar’s electrified powertrain capabilities with versatile, customized solutions for off-road applications.
