Chinese CICEE Tradeshow Returns in Changsha in 2025, the heart of Made in China

The 4th edition of the Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) is set to make a grand return to Changsha, a growing hub for construction equipment innovation. Scheduled for May 15-18, 2025, the event aims to host over 1,800 companies.

Since its very first edition, CICEE has rapidly evolved into one of China’s most interesting trade shows for showcasing construction machinery components and technologies.

“The rapid expansion of CICEE mirrors the swift advancement of China’s construction machinery sector and underscores the nation’s commitment to open its doors wider to international markets,” noted a CICEE excutive. “After three meticulously executed editions, the exhibition has emerged as a pivotal event featuring international forums, cutting-edge technology showcases, and extensive global corporate participation.”

The development and growth of CICEE not only reflects the rapid development of China’s construction machinery industry, but also reveals China’s increasing self-confidence and attitude of opening-up wider in the field of construction machinery.

As a matter of fact, with the opening of China’s 13th FiveYear Plan, the establishment and operation of the AIIB, the implementation of “Belt and Road” and the steady and upward economic situation in China, the development of China’s construction machinery industry has entered a steady growth cycle.

Digitalization: China is now a serious player

Aligned with the ‘Made in China 2025’ strategy and stringent environmental regulations, the construction machinery industry is gearing up for a revolutionary phase marked by enhancements in environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, automation, and digital integration. These advancements are poised to catalyze the entire industry, opening new markets and opportunities.

Changsha: where 8,5% of the new machinery is manufactured

Actually, the total output value of construction machinery in Changsha accounts for about 33% of China’s total and 8.5% of the global total, which has rendered the Hunan capital, along with Illinois in the United States and Tokyo in Japan, one of the world’s three major hubs for the construction machinery industry.

Furthermore, in Changsha are the headquartered five giant companies such as Sany , Zoomlion, CHI, Sunward, and Sinoboom.

At the core of this progress, it lays a strong manufacturing force.
Changsha possesses next-gen intelligent factories and established the most cutting-edge intelligent lighthouse factories for tower cranes, aerial work machinery, concrete machinery,  excavators, and material centers. Changsha’s construction machinery is increasingly competitive and influence both domestically and internationally.
Moreover, Changsha has established over 20 spare parts warehouses, overseas service centers, and production bases, exporting its leading products to more than 180 countries and regions. Relying on a solid industrial foundation, the CICEE is increasingly market-oriented and globalized.

Looking Ahead: CICEE 2025

The 2025 edition of CICEE is set to be a landmark event focusing on technological innovation in the construction industry, featuring the latest in digitization, unmanned operations, smart construction solutions, and sustainable energy technologies and with a projected display of over 1,500 innovative products.

Additionally, CICEE’s commitment to the Belt and Road initiative continues to grow, with the exhibition playing a pivotal role in fostering international trade and cooperation in the construction machinery sector.

Attendees can expect to see innovations in digitization, artificial intelligence, carbon reduction strategies, 5G-enabled unmanned operations, smart construction techniques, and energy solutions including green, electric, and hydrogen technologies. The event will feature over 1,500 new products and cutting-edge technologies.
