Leica and Develon Launch 3D Machine Guidance System for Excavators

Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, and Develon, formerly Doosan Construction Equipment, has launched the Leica MC1 3D machine guidance system as a retrofit option for their latest excavator models. This system is specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with Develon’s existing 2D sensors and calibration systems.

Machine guidance technology significantly advances jobsite efficiency by providing operators with improved accuracy and control. This ensures that excavation projects are carried out with greater precision, aligning perfectly with the reference model. Thanks to the continuous collaboration between Leica Geosystems and Develon, the Leica MC1 3D machine guidance system is designed to integrate seamlessly with Develon’s existing 2D system on the latest excavator models. As a result, customers can upgrade their equipment without facing compatibility issues, ensuring a smooth transition to 3D technology.
