New Raimondi Flat-Top Tower Crane Joins the T Series Range

The new Raimondi T87 flat-top, successor to the long-serving MRT84, has already entered the market, with the first deployments on job sites in Italy and France.

The new Raimondi T-87 delivers improved performance, more advanced technology and greater versatility. It is particularly suited to small and mid-size projects, with maximum lifting capacities of 3 t and 5 t. Logistics and transport were also a key design priority for the T-87: the heaviest single component weighs just 3 t, and the crane features an 8 m counterjib. This allows the transport of the full 51 m jib, including all counterweights, efficiently using just two articulated trucks.

“The first units of the T87 have already been delivered to several key accounts across France and Italy”

As Mauro Masetti, Sales Director Raimondi Cranes, commented. One significant installation to date, completed by Tecnoedicasa in a historic neighborhood of Ascoli Piceno, highlights the T87’s capabilities in a highly restrictive environment. The crane was configured with a 51-meter jib and installed 45 meters below the hook.

Its versatility also benefits rental companies, which can meet different project needs with either a 5 t configuration with II/IV falls or a 3 t configuration with permanent II falls. The Raimondi T87-5t delivers a 1.38 t tip load in UltraLift with a 51 m jib and can reach a maximum hoisting speed of 78.70 m/min with a 22 kW hoist. It is also equipped with the ConCore control system, enabling fast calibration and remote access for monitoring.

From tight historic centres to standard urban projects, Raimondi is targeting both contractors and rental fleets with a compact flat-top designed to stay efficient across different site conditions, with early installations already underway.
