Jim Walenczak Named President of DAF Trucks

DAF Trucks, owned by U.S. truck group PACCAR, will appoint Jim Walenczak as president effective July 2026, succeeding Harald Seidel.

Walenczak has been with PACCAR for 15 years and has held several roles of increasing responsibility. His previous positions include Assistant General Manager, Operations at PACCAR Parts, Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Kenworth, and, most recently, PACCAR Vice President and General Manager of Kenworth Truck Company.

Seidel has spent 25 years at PACCAR, with roles spanning finance and controlling functions in Europe, including positions such as PACCAR Parts Europe Controller, Controller Marketing and Sales, Group Controller, and DAF Finance Director. He has served as PACCAR Vice President and DAF President since 2022.

Jim Walenczak (left) has been promoted to the position of President of DAF Trucks N.V., effective July 1, 2026. He is succeeding Harald Seidel, who will retire on July 17.

The transition is scheduled for early July, with Walenczak starting on July 1 and Seidel retiring on July 17.
