“This service facility is intended to meet the needs of Grove crane customers in Poland, and it will serve as a base for growth as customer support operations expand in the country. The CRANES+50 strategy focuses on growing aftermarket services and ensuring that whenever customers need a technician, one is available.”

Said Dirk Wolfsteller, Manitowoc vice president of aftermarket services for mobile cranes in Europe.

Several hundred Grove cranes are operating in Poland. The new facility is also a certified EnCORE location, which means it can carry out rebuild, refurbishment, and repair work. The first EnCORE project at the site is expected to start in the coming weeks.

The Warsaw-area facility currently has three team members, with recruitment underway. Manitowoc will continue to work with service partners in northern and southern Poland as needed. Technicians based at the site will use service vans equipped with tools, parts, and materials for field work.

Looking ahead, the company may add dedicated crane operator training capabilities at the location.
