Ecotec, a manufacturer of wood processing, biomass and recycling equipment, has appointed Christopher Pickhardt as Global Sales Director, adding a new figure to the company’s commercial leadership following the recent launch of its new brand identity.
Pickhardt joins Ecotec after a career in the recycling technology sector, with experience in regional and international commercial and management roles. In his most recent position, he led the North American operations of a company in the sector.
In his new role, Pickhardt will take responsibility for Ecotec’s global sales, coordinating the company’s regional sales structures. His appointment comes as Ecotec is expanding its presence in international markets for waste processing and recycling equipment.
Founded in 2016, Ecotec has gradually expanded its offering in the waste processing and recycling equipment sector. Its portfolio now includes shredders, screens, trommels, material handlers, metal separators and conveyors. The development of its product range and distribution network has supported the company’s expansion in markets such as the UK, North America and Australia.
“Christopher’s appointment comes at an important point in Ecotec’s development. Following the launch of our new brand identity at IFAT, we are clearly positioning the business for continued global growth. Christopher brings strong commercial experience and a deep understanding of the recycling industry, having worked across multiple international markets. He will play a key role in strengthening our sales organisation and supporting our distribution network as we continue to expand,”
Said Conor Hegarty, Business Line Director for Ecotec.

“I am pleased to be joining Ecotec at such a pivotal stage in its development. The business has built a strong reputation and developed a comprehensive product offering for waste and recycling applications. I look forward to working with the global team and our distributors to continue building on that foundation and supporting customers across all core markets.”
Added Christopher Pickhardt.
The appointment underlines Ecotec’s focus on strengthening its international sales structure in a recycling market increasingly shaped by the ability to provide technology, support and local presence across key operating regions.
