New Holland Construction Launches Three New Compact Wheel Loaders

New Holland Construction is broadening its D-Series compact wheel loader range with three new models, the W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach, bringing the redesigned cab and operator-focused updates first introduced on the W100D to smaller, more versatile machine sizes

The new W70D and W80D models target landscaping, construction, material handling and agricultural applications, giving customers more flexibility in matching machine size and performance to the job. Both machines use a mid-sized frame, with the W100D, launched in 2025, remaining the largest compact wheel loader in the D-Series lineup.

“Segments like landscaping and construction crews are expected to accomplish more than ever in a single day, while often times moving between multiple jobsites and changing up applications multiple times. The new W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach Compact Wheel Loaders give crews the ability to perform more tasks with a single machine, helping businesses make the most out of their time, labor and equipment investment.”

Sayd Dan Kakareka, product manager for New Holland Construction North America.

The new D-Series compact wheel loaders are designed for businesses that need one machine to handle multiple tasks across landscaping, construction, material handling and agricultural applications.

A hydraulic skid-steer-style coupler allows operators to change attachments from inside the cab, reducing time lost between tasks. Compatible attachments include buckets, pallet forks, tree spades and bale spears, giving contractors and landscapers more flexibility throughout the workday.

At the center of the new machines is a completely redesigned cab focused on operator comfort, visibility and productivity. It features a heated air-ride seat with integrated joystick controls mounted directly to the seat, allowing the controls to move with the operator as the seat absorbs bumps and vibrations. This helps maintain consistent control while reducing fatigue during long workdays.

The in-cab environment includes a lower front console, a larger front windshield and improved sightlines to the attachment and work area. A new monitor on the right-side A-pillar places live machine metrics within the operator’s line of sight. A right-side sliding window and door also allow operators to communicate with crew members without leaving the cab.

A multifunction joystick keeps loader controls and machine functions within easy reach, while standard features such as ride control, cruise control, creep mode, return-to-dig, return-to-dump and return-to-travel help streamline repetitive tasks.

Operators can also customise boom and bucket response speeds to match their experience level and application needs. New operators can slow machine response for greater precision and confidence, while experienced operators can increase boom and bucket speeds for faster cycle times.

Flow-sharing and load-sensing hydraulics adjust hydraulic flow to support smooth, precise operation, efficiency and fuel savings. With travel speeds of up to 25 mph, the machines can move quickly between work areas, reducing transport time across the jobsite.

The W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach compact wheel loaders combine improved visibility and safety features to support operators in busy jobsite environments. Improved sightlines, a standard rearview camera and backup alarm help increase awareness around the machine, while the LED lighting package and available four-corner strobe kit improve visibility in low-light conditions.

Each model includes seven years of telematics connectivity through myNewHollandConstruction. Fleet owners can monitor machine location, operating hours, maintenance schedules and machine health, while geofencing, curfew monitoring and maintenance alerts support fleet management, equipment security and uptime.

Ordering will open in the third quarter of 2026 through local New Holland Construction dealerships.
