In eastern Russia, in a village called Ikab’ya, TF 1100 has been employed for digging foundations for the subsequent high-voltage power lines installation. Soil was a mixture of rocks, mainly limestone, with a resistance up to 75 MPa. The harsh environmental condition and the frozen soil haven’t discouraged the cutter head from getting the job done.
